What matters when you buy standardised extracts and botanicals for formulations.
Where an extract is standardised, the marker compound and its percentage define what you are buying. Examples include withanolides in Ashwagandha, curcuminoids in Curcumin and boswellic acids in Boswellia. State the marker and the test method you expect in your specification.
Depending on the material, look for the marker percentage, heavy metals, pesticide residues, microbial limits and solvent residues, along with batch number and date. Ask for the COA of the batch you will receive.
A good first sample does not guarantee consistent bulk. Agree the specification in writing, test incoming batches, and keep records so repeat orders match.
Requirements depend on your product category and licence. Confirm them with your regulatory team and put them into the specification before ordering.
We match your requirement to verified suppliers, coordinate samples and COA verification, and record what was agreed in an Order Specification Sheet for repeat orders.
